Welcome to the home for the 2010 Northwest Submission Challenge - the largest BJJ and grappling tournament in Idaho with over 150 competitors competing in our last tournament. We are excited to announce that we are adding another tournament to the calendar this year on October 2nd, 2010. This time it will be a submission only tournament. No time limits, no points, you can win or lose only by submission. Once again this event will be held in Boise, Idaho at the Capital High School Gym.

We are proud to once again invite the top men, women, and children grapplers in the northwest to show their skill and competitive drive. This is a family friendly event for competitors of all ages, skill levels, and discipline. This is an open tournament, you do not have to be affiliated with any style, academy or gym to enter.

Spectator admission for the Northwest Submission Challenge is $5 for adults and free for kids 12 and younger. All youth competitors will get one free admission ticket for a parent.

Weigh In: There will weigh ins Friday, October 1st from 6-9pm at the West YMCA, or the day of the event from 7-8:30am at the event. Registration will close at 8:30am October 2nd. All registration on the day of the grappling tournament (October 2nd) will have a $10 late registration fee.

NEWS AND INFO:

We have added an "executive" division for this years submission only tournament. So all competitors over the age of 35 the day of the event can compete with the executives.

This tournament will have neither points nor a time limit. It gets to the core of grappling and BJJ- submissions. The only way to win your match is to submit your opponent. All of our regular rules for legal and illegal submission will be in place.

Ref Clinic - Have you ever wanted to have the best seat in the house for any of our tournaments? We are looking for a few dedicated people to join the ranks of our reffing staff. You must be a purple belt in BJJ or have at least 5 years experience grappling. We are going to have a ref clinic in September with one of the head refs from Grapplers Quest and Copa Nova. The clinic is free to any ref willing to commit to 2 tournaments. Contact us from the contact page for more info.
