2018 was another successful year for Idaho’s largest submission grappling tournament, and the team race was our most competitive and compelling yet!!!
For the first time ever, we had a tie for the Overall Team title, with SBG and The Base finishing with 188 points! Coming in 3rd place in the overall was Gustavo Pires Academy with 39 points.
The Base finished with 135 points to SBG’s 106 in the team finish for gi, while SBG finished with 82 points to The Base’s 53 in the no-gi team race. In first place for the Kid’s Division, both gi and no-gi, was The Base with 152, and coming in second was SBG with 128. A list of the top five team finishes across all divisions can be seen in the graphic above.

Finally, a very special thank you to our team of tournament organizers, Brad Bentley, Daryl Vickers, and Nick Shultz, for being absolute workhorses!!! Without their commitment, there is no way the tournament could run as smoothly as it did!
